Region 15 Wednesday's Referendum

As you know, our Region 15 School Budget Referendum is this Wednesday, May 7.  Please remind your friends and neighbors to vote.  It is really imperative that both parents vote. 

Alex Gittines is busy making signs.  We are looking for some help on Wednesday to stand by the school entrance with signs at drop off and pick up, and also during Breakfast Buddies. The times we need people are as follows: 

·         At drop off (8:30 – 9:00)

·         At pick-up (3:15 – 3:45)

·         At Breakfast Buddies to hand out “I Promise To Vote Today” stickers (7:15 – 7:45) and (8:00 – 8:30)

Please let me know if/when you are available to help us with this.  In addition, we would like to put up signs at the local preschools.  If you would like to cover one of the preschools (either by asking to put up a sign or by standing there with a sign) please let me know. 

We really need to come together to make sure this referendum passes the first time.

PES Library Volunteers for '08-'09

The Library is in need of volunteers who can commit to one morning or
afternoon every week during the school year. Volunteers help check books in
and out and then put them away. They also help with special projects as
needed. Volunteers need to be ready to start when school starts so training
and a chance to work with a current volunteer is done now.

There will be a Library Volunteer Orientation Meeting for all those
interested in finding out about the volunteer responsibilities. Note the
date and time has been changed to Monday, May 12 at 2:00 in the Media
Center. If you can not attend but are interested please contact Pat Smith at
psmith@region15.org, send a note or call her at the school.

PES Family Night - Rock Cats Baseball Game #3

It's not too late to order tickets and join your friends at PES Family Night
at the Rock Cats baseball game in New Britain.  The event will take place on
Tuesday, May 6.  The cost for box seat tickets is $6.50.  The kids will
receive vouchers to eat for free, and our PES Students will sing America the
Beautiful on the field at the beginning of the game!  How fun is that?!

So far we have over 150 PES people attending...don't miss out!  Everyone is
invited.  Encourage your friends and order your tickets through Nicole
