Dear PES Families,

 

 

It’s hard to believe that the summer has come and gone and the new school year has begun.  For those of you who are new to PES, we welcome you to our family.  To those returning to PES, we are so glad to see you back. 

 

I would first like to introduce myself, my name is Karen Opalka and I am the volunteer coordinator for the 2007-2008 school year.  I encourage all of you to take the opportunity to volunteer this year at PES.  It is a great way to meet new people as well as a wonderful example to set for your child. 

 

I have enclosed some PTO volunteer information and forms for you to read and fill out.  We ask that you send them back to school, with your child, by, Friday, September 21^st.

Attached to this letter you will find the list of Pomperaug Elementary PTO Volunteer Opportunities.  This sheet gives you a description of the PTO position or event and lists the chairperson(s) for that particular committee.  Please note that some committees are still in need of a chairperson. 

 

The form is entitled PES PTO Volunteer Sign-Up Sheet.  You need only fill out one PTO Volunteer form for your family.  Check off as many committees as you are interested in and feel you have the time for.  If you can consider any of the open Chairperson positions, please indicate so in the appropriate places on this form and someone will contact you soon.
